Last week, Cuesta Beach Volleyball travelled to Monterey for a pair of matches against American River (2-3) and Feather River (1-4). The Cougars opened against American River and pushed the Beavers to the brink, before falling 3-2. The Cougars won two matches and pushed two other matches into a tie-breaker. Cashlin Cuadros and Katelyn Hesch won at #2 (21-13,21-18) and Hanne Porter and Elizabeth Trimble (22-20, 21-15), while the Cougars narrowly lost at both the #1 spot, with Brynn Bennett and Cayley Brown (7-21, 21-18, 9-15), and #5 spot, with Izzy Hendrickson and Rainey Snedden (21-10, 14-21, 9-15).
