Baseball Comes Back to Beat Reedley, 4-3
Cuesta Baseball joined Reedley as both teams emptied their bullpens and combined to use more pitchers than hits allowed in the game.  Both line-ups boasted four hits on the day, but the Cougars still put together enough offense to take the victory, 4-3.  Both teams scored a single run in the third inning, but the real action came after the stretch.  The rallied, with two outs, behind First Baseman Sean Rivas's single and Outfielder Jak Sinclair's walk to set the table.  The Cougars tabbed Henry Hanavan to pinch run for Rivas, so when the Tigers flubbed Justin Lemaster's grounder to shortstop, Hanavan came around to give the Cougars the lead.  Third Baseman Hank Hansen singled two batters later to score Sinclair and Lemaster to take the lead for good.  Reedley went down in order in the 8th inning but made a final push for victory in the final frame.  The Cougars gave the ball to their previous Designated Hitter Brandt Munger to close the victory.  Munger gave up a walk and singled to start the inning but closed out the game to save Dylan Leoff's victory.  The Cougars are now 2-4 on the season.

Cuesta heads to Orange Coast this weekend for a three-day, three-game series against the Pirates.  The Cougars and Bucs shall play at 1 PM on both Thursday and Friday, while first pitch is set for Noon on Saturday.
