Three Cuesta Cagers Earn all-WSC Accolades
 
Cuesta Men's Basketball completed its first season under Coach Jamoni Barber with a respectable 10-18 overall record, as well as a 4th place finish in the Western State Conference, including a 5-7 mark against the circuit.  Coach Barber, who is the Cougars' fourth head coach since 1965, became Cuesta's first rookie coach to reach the double-digit marker for wins in their inaugural season.  Barber also landed three of his players on the all-Western State Conference teams.  Sophomores Ryan McNamee and Aiden Pearsall-Morgan were selected to the 2026 all-WSC First Team, while Freshman James Nugent garnered all-WSC Honorable Mention.  
 
2026 All-Western State Conference First Team Forward Ryan McNamee added 10-points to his freshman scoring average and was one of four players to score in double-digits on the season.  He averaged 12.7 points per game, while also grabbing 5.1 rebounds per game.  
 
2026 All-Western State Conference First Team Guard Aiden Pearsall-Morgan ran the Cougars' offense, while posting team-highs with both 13.3 points and 3.3 assists per game.  On the other end of the Court and was a fierce defender and was second on the team in steals.  
 
2026 All-Western State Conference Honorable Mention selection James Nugent was everywhere on the court for the Cougars.  Nugent scored inside and outside, rebounds and brought the ball up the floor.  He was third on the team with 10.2 points per game and ranked among the team leaders for almost every statistical category.
