Cuesta College Female Athlete of the Month, February 2026- Addy Finegan, Softball
Sophomore Addy Finegan is currently the most feared hitter in the State and anchors the middle of the Cougars' batting order.  She currently leads the State with both 15 home runs and 45 runs batted in, while also eclipsing 2013 Cuesta College Athlete of the Year Kryn Masutani's 2013 school standard of 13 home runs in a season.   Finegan has also taken aim at the rest of the Cougars' record book.  She remains 21 runs batted in behind Masutanti for the program's RBI record for a season but is closing on a pair of career marks.  She is only seven Runs Batted In away from 2024 WSC Player of the Year Reese Tartaglia's (81) career mark and has already knocked Amanda Mueller (2006-06) off the pedestal, after she spent 20 years as the Cougars' top slugger.  Mueller clubbed 16 home runs during her two seasons in SLO, while Finegan extended her new record at Citrus last week.  She currently boasts an even 20 career roundtrippers.

Cuesta Softball has posted a 6-15 record during the first two months of the season and begins Western State Conference play in March.
