Sophomore Outfielder Cierra Cloud is one half of the Cougars' dynamic duo on offense. Cloud bats ahead of teammate Addy Finegan and sets the table for her teammate, who is the State Home Run leader, however she has also done plenty of her own clearing the table this season. Cloud ranks third in the State with 61 hits on the season, and her .517 batting average is the second highest in school history. She is also slugging her way into the Top 20 for both Doubles (14) and Triples (7). On the basepaths, she ranks 10th in the State with 20 stolen bases, which helped her score a team-high 42 runs to land her in another State Top 10. Cloud enters the final week of the season riding a 14-game hitting streak, which caps a season where she has hit safely in 34 of her 35 games, while either scoring or driving in a run in 31 games. Cuesta Softball has posted a 12-24 record this season, including a 4-7 mark against the Western State Conference with two games remaining on the schedule.
Cloud currently ranks among the Cougars' all-time career leaders for Doubles (21-6th), Triples (8-2nd), Runs Scored (62- 9th) and Batting Average (.414-5th).
