2026 Cuesta College Alberta Deutsche Fan of the Year Kevin Burt has been a supportive and positive presence with Cuesta Softball.  Kevin's daughter, Brielle (pict-L), has also been a standout member of the Cougars' Nine as two-time all-Western State Conference selection. Coach Jenel Guadangno says, "He (Mr. Burt) attended every home and away game the past two years.  He also filmed (our games) and athletes' at-bats and big plays to send to the players and families".  Cuesta Athletic Director Bob Mariucci emphasized, "The Fan of the Year Award has gone to an individual that has shown exceptional and continuous support of Cuesta College Athletics. Their support comes from the joy of attending games, watching our student athletes compete, win or lose, doing whatever they can to support the coach and team. To add to the student athlete's experience. Mr. Burt has certainly done all those things for the past two years & we are grateful for his support of Cuesta College." 

This award was created in 2010 to honor Alberta Deutsche and her dedicated support of the Cuesta Cougars and to all those who share her passion for collegiate athletics.
