Cuesta College Athletics Department is proud to announce this month's selections for the Cuesta Athlete of the Month.  This distinct honor recognizes two Cuesta College Athletes each month during the school year who have performed to the highest standards in their sport.  Our female selection for December is Sophomore Forward Fiona Durham.

 

Returning Forward Fiona Durham has expanded her game and is taking a leading role for the Cougars this season.  The six-foot southpaw has expanded from her lethal game in the post, while also scoring from the outside and finishing the Cougars' break.  She leads the Cougars in scoring at a 13.7 points per game, while converting at a team-best 48.6 clip.  Durham is also second on the team in assists per game but also holds her own on the boards and on defense.  She has chased down 6.3 caroms per contest and leads the team in both steals and blocks on the defensive end.   

 

The Cougars begin their 2026 Western State Conference Schedule this Saturday, when they host local rival Allan Hancock for a men's and women's doubleheader.
