Cuesta Women's Soccer hosted 2024 CCCAA Playoff qualifier Los Angeles Pierce to open Western State Conference-North Division play.  The Cougars and visiting Brahmas both went scoreless in the first half, with Pierce missing all five of their shot and the Cougars misfiriing on a trio of attempts.  The game remained scoreless until the Brahmas' Jocelyn Coranado tallied the eventual game winner with 15 minutes left on the clock.  The late score also spoiled Cuesta Goalie Julianna Rosa's bid for a second shutout of the season.  Cuesta Kickers are now 1-5 on the season and 0-1 in WSC play.

The Cougars return to the road as they continue their first swing through the Western State Conference.  Cuesta travels to Oxnard on Tuesday (4 PM) and return southward to play another 2024 Playoff team, Ventura, when they meet the Pirates on Friday (5:30)
