Cuesta Women's Soccer Closes the 2025 Season at Home
Cuesta Women's Soccer battled to the end but dropped its 2025 season finale to local rival Allan Hancock, 1-0.  The Bulldogs scored the game's only in the 34th minute and clung to their narrow advantage for the next hour of play.  The Cougars launched almost a dozen shots in the game but were unable to post the equalizer.  The loss dropped the Cougars to an overall record of 3-13-1 and into 6th place in the seven-team Western State Conference- North Division.

The setback also closed out the program's first season under its third Head Coach since 1995,  Paige Johnson.  Johnson took over a program that boasted just nine wins over the previous four seasons, while being charged with rebuilding a team with just four returners.  On offense, Freshman Derby Coykendall led the Cougars with nine goals and 28 total points, while Sophomore Hailey Westcott dished out a team-high five assists.  In the nets, Goalkeeper Julianna Rosa collected a team-high 93 saves, however Sophomore Shae Mansfield was in the nets and got credit for two of the Cougars' three victories.

All-conference awards and other post-season accolades shall be announced at the conclusion of the post-season.
