Cuesta Women's Soccer finished its first season under 2025 WSC Coach of the Year Paige Johnson with a 3-13-1 overall record and in 6th place in the Western State Conference. The Cougars battled through a 7-team WSC-North Division that boasted three playoff teams. In the end, Cuesta placed five players on the 2025 All Western State Conference teams, led by their lone first team selection Macy Giubbini (Templeton HS- pict). Cuesta finished the season with an overall record of 3-13-1 record, while five players, including Giubbini, were accorded all-WSC honors

2024 all-WSC Second Team Defender Macy Giubbini moved into the midfield this season and was elevated as the Cougars' only member of the 2025 All-Western State Conference First Team. Giubbini is recognized among the Cougars and the conference's best one-on-one defensive players. while also controlling the midfield.
Sophomore Midfielder Taylor Lynch (Bakersfield) repeated as a member all-WSC Second Team, where she was joined by Freshman Forward Derby Coykendall (Arroyo Grande HS). Lynch was a physical presence on the field and even added a goal during the season. Coykendall was the Cougars' leading scorer with 16 points. She scored seven of the Cougars' 19 goals on the season, including a season-best two goals against Oxnard on October 24.
Sophomore Midfielder Hailey Westcott (Mountain View HS) and Freshman Defender Alexia Mendoza (Paso Robles HS) were both accorded all-WSC Honorable Mention. Westcott was tied for second on the team, behind Coykendall with six overall points. A master of the midfield, she earned all of her points by assisting on a team-high six goals. Mendoza was a tenacious defender as a major part of the Cougars' last line of defense for the Cougars' goalies.
2025 WSC Coach of the Year Paige Johnson made an immediate and noticeable impact on the Cougars, who had finished last in the Western State Conference the past two seasons. She guided the Cougars out of the loop's cellar into 6th place this season. Johnson's squad also showed signs of breaking into contention, while scoring five goals in their nine contests against playoff-bound opponents, including a trio of single-goal losses against the WSC circuit's three playoff teams.
