Cuesta Women's Wrestling officially opened in its inaugural season on February 7, but this week the team will make its home debut at Cuesta Stork Gym on Wednesday.  The Cougars are set to host a pair of SouthEast Conference duals against Bakersfield (6 PM) and Lemoore (7 PM).  The Cougars are 3-3 in duals this season, including a 2-2 mark in the SEC. 

 

Last week, the Grapplers took 5th place at the Mt San Antonio Tournament, while all four wrestlers medaled at the event.  Freshman Ashleigh Terry (160) led the way by reaching the title match and coming home with Silver.  Returning All-American Ayten Elbarbary (124) and Sophomore Aubree Kooren (131, pict-R) each lost in the semi-finals, while winning the 3rd place match, while Ana Garcia-Delgado (207, pict-L) went 2-2 and also took Bronze.
