Cuesta College Athletics Department is proud to announce this month's selections for the Cuesta Athlete of the Month.  This distinct honor recognizes two Cuesta College Athletes each month during the school year who have performed to the highest standards in their sport.  Our female selection for October is Freshman Harrier Selena Trejo

Freshman Selena Trejo peaked at the right moment and led the Cuesta Women's Cross Country to 4th place at the 2025 Western State Conference Championships. Trejo paced the Cougars' pack for the first time this season and helped vault the team into the post-season.  Trejo had not placed higher than her 11th place, before finishing 8th at the WSC Championships, while dropping almost half a minute off her previous best time.  Trejo's performance earned her a spot on the 2025 All-Western State Conference First Team and helped secure her team a spot at the 2025 3C2A Southern Regional Championship.  

 

Cuesta Women's Cross Country shall compete in the 2025 3C2A Southern Regional Championship this Saturday at NTC Park in San Diego.
