Cuesta Women's Cross Country and its five-woman team raced to 17th place as team at the 2025 3C2A State Championships last weekend at Woodward Park in Fresno. Freshman Rebekah Waterbury (pict) led the Cougars' pack for the second time this season, while finishing a team-best 46th place (19:48.4). Fellow all-Western State Conference First Teamer Selena Trejo, who led the team at the conference and regional finals, finished 57th (19:56.7) as the second Cougar to cross the line. Freshmen Isabella Efner (102nd), who led the Cougars in their first five starts of the season, joined Sophia Esparza Perez (103rd) and Sarah Garcia (163rd) to complete the Cougars' scoring team.
